Fitness is just as much a part of “mission readiness” as it is a part of every Sailor’s quality of life. That’s why you’ll be sure to find state-of-the-art fitness/workout centers wherever you find the Navy. Professionally staffed Navy MWR fitness facilities and programs promote personal, physical and mental excellence, as well as meet leisure needs and help develop positive lifestyle habits. State-of-the-art fitness facilities offer strength and weight training, cardiovascular conditioning, aerobic and martial arts classes, spinning and yoga.

Sports

From pickup basketball games on the flight deck to ship-to-ship skeet-shooting competitions to bowling leagues and All-Navy Sports Teams, you’ll be surprised just how much the Navy has to offer.

Need to work on your skills? In addition to organizing competitions, tournaments and leagues, Navy MWR offers clinics to teach the skills and strategies involved in each sport.

Captain’s Cup

The Captain’s Cup is a year-round sports competition. Teams accrue points for achievement in different sports throughout the year. At the end of the year, the Captain’s Cup is given to the team with the highest number of points.

Recreation

For all your outdoor recreational needs, Navy MWR can provide you with information on everything outdoors. This includes equipment rentals and/or lessons and skills instruction for activities like:

The Navy offers on-base sports competitions at all skill levels, including men, women and co-ed. Various tournaments and leagues are offered on a year-round basis to include softball, flag football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, racquetball, running and swimming.
