“Administrator” doesn’t begin to describe the opportunities in Navy Health Care Administration (HCA). As a respected Officer in the Medical Service Corps, you could find yourself heading up the establishment of third-world medical centers for families devastated by famine or conflict. Serving as a steward over funds earmarked for keeping our Sailors and Marines strong and healthy. Or, perhaps, conducting research to determine and incorporate best practices at the forefront of global health care. Regardless of job function, you can expect a career that breaks boundaries, sets standards and uncovers opportunities truly unique in the health-care industry.

What will you do?

Take administrative and leadership roles in various medical and dental treatment facilities, as well as operational units worldwide. You may also work in subspecialty vocations, such as financial management, education and training, and patient administration. You’ll supervise the care of those who protect us. Deliver aid to distant communities in need. Expand your skills at world-renowned facilities. And follow a career path that circles the globe.

Once you become an HCA Officer, you can further specialize in one or more of the following areas:

  • Education and Training Management
  • Financial Management
  • Fleet Marine Force
  • General Health Care Administration
  • Health Care Facilities Planning
  • Information Management
  • Manpower Systems Analysis
  • Medical Logistics Management
  • Operations Research
  • Patient Administration
  • Plans, Operations and Medical Intelligence

Plus, serve at some of the top Navy Medical facilities in Bethesda, MD; Portsmouth, VA; and San Diego, CA.
