Aerospace Physiology
Job Overview:
In Navy Aerospace Physiology, you’ll find cutting-edge research in practice. Elite scientists at the top of their fields. And a position of honor and respect waiting should you choose to join such ranks.
Pay:
The human body can withstand incredible pressures. As an aerospace physiologist, you’ll teach Navy and Marine Pilots to push their bodies to the limits safely. Conduct research on the effects of high g-forces on the human body. And train pilots to use the latest technology.
It’s a quantum leap in the study of human physiology. And it’s an amazing opportunity in any career.
What will you do?
Train all U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircrew in the areas of aviation physiology, sensory physiology, acceleration physiology, life support equipment, ejection/egress, parachute procedures and water survival. This training reduces the risk of mishaps and enhances survival chances should dire events occur.
You’ll also learn the full spectrum of physiological challenges faced in an aviation environment. Train the world’s most elite aircrews in the finer points of in-flight survival. And launch a unique career path that can take you around the globe.
You’ll train with the Navy’s only human centrifuge – located at NAS Lemoore, CA – in preparation for teaching all tactical-jet aircrew techniques for improving their performance under high g-forces.
