NROTC
Life as an NROTC Student
It’s college — why not make the most of it?

The NROTC Program lets you focus on your studies and enjoy college life without worrying about how you’re going to pay for it all.
Upon acceptance to the NROTC Program, candidate on-campus requirements will include:
- Wearing the NROTC uniform once a week
- Participating in drills with the unit at least once a week
- Taking a Naval Science course each semester
As an NROTC student, you’ll enjoy all the great college experiences your fellow non-NROTC students do. Like getting involved in extracurricular activities, fraternities, sororities and honor societies. Or participating in club and varsity sports, the varsity band and even University sponsored work-study programs. Live on campus, or off. Live with fellow NROTC students, or not. The choices are yours to make. The fantastic times are yours to enjoy.
The only real difference between life as an NROTC student and that of any other student? You won’t have to repay hefty student loans. And you’ll have a job waiting when you graduate.

As an NROTC student, you’ll enjoy the same once-in-a-lifetime college experiences other students do, such as:
- Pursuing the degree of your choice
- Attending the participating NROTC school of your choice
- Taking courses with your friends
- Living with NROTC or non-NROTC students
- Living on or off campus
- Participating in intramural teams, clubs and other student organizations
